A good relationship with Senshu towels

To ensure long-term, comfortable use of your towels

The color may fade the first 2-3 times, so please wash separately from white items.

Dry the towel you used

Wet towels can breed bacteria, which can cause unpleasant odors. If you are not going to wash them right away, it is effective to spread them out on a towel hanger.

Wash with plenty of water

Rubbing towels against other laundry is one of the causes of damage and lint, so we recommend washing them with plenty of water.

Use fabric softener sparingly

Fabric softener smooths the surface of towels and makes them soft, but using too much can make them less likely to absorb water and can also cause pilling (the fibers slipping off).
It is effective to use an appropriate amount only when you feel that your towels have become stiff (once every 10 to 15 washes).

Avoid dehydration

The loops (the loops of hair) are what make the towels fluffy.
The key is not to squeeze it too much.

How to loosen a towel

Before hanging out to dry, loosen the towel loops to make it fluffy. Spread the towel out and shake it with both hands to loosen it.
The hem of a wet towel (the folded-over part at both ends) is thick and heavy, so shake it to loosen it so that this part does not lie on the bottom.

How to dry towels

While direct sunlight has a sterilizing effect, it can also fade the color of towels and weaken the fabric. It is recommended to dry towels in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight, and in a well-ventilated place.

If the pile gets caught and comes out

Use scissors to cut the pile from the base where it has grown out.

Towel storage area

To maintain the texture of towels, it is important to store them in a way that does not crush the air in the pile. For example, we recommend storing them loosely by rolling them into a tube.
